Reading Comprehension and Anxiety

I have often felt anxious while reading the instructions and questions on a test. Apparently I am not the only one that has experienced test anxiety.

I have interviewed and conducted online and offline surveys that support the idea that ESL/EFL students are anxious during reading tests. There are some general variables that cause reading anxiety. I would like to share my action research project presentation with you on my findings. The PowerPoint and written presentations appear on the following pages:

My recommendations are to teach students reading and test taking strategies along with relaxation techniques that integrate color visualization and self-talk.
